If everyone had enough money to be comfortable and the training and tools/space required to do any occupation you wanted were automatically provided to you what would you now like to do?
I think I'd like to do a combination of writing (though what, I'm not sure - games/campaigns, stories, comics?), brewing, and - bizarrely - DJing. Though it's not bizarre at all, really - WFH, the radio or Spotify goes on from when I come down in the morning until bedtime, sometimes after. And I've loved watching Kelly-Anne Byrne (late of Today FM) presenting DJ sets over Twitch, and really enjoy messing around with playlists.
Brewing, yeah, I've realised lately how little about it I actually know. And although it's easy enough to knock out an ok beer, there's a real skill and talent in consistently doing a really good one. Plus a lot of equipment. Reverse osmosis water filtering sounds like something out of Star Trek, and I need to invest in some serious temperature control, then there's the modifications to fridges, and a Grainfather, now...
I'd take up some kind of slow investigative journalism/research writing. The kind of thing I already do in Gentle Decline and Commonplace, only doing it full-time and with access to libraries and archives.
Dog minder, dog shelter or retirement farm with forest and beach for dogs.
I had a phase where I was thinking that egyptologist is a great profession but it`s very hot in those parts and more importantly there isn`t a lot of shade so I don`t think I`d be capable physically.
I`d love to know how to make and fix things by myself.
